Gravity Lab was contracted by Coca-Cola to fabricate and install 3D signage and a unique 9m high pylon design at one of their distribution plants that supplys to the whole of Africa. The project presented several challenges, including limitations on material sizes, a complex and one-of-a-kind design, transportation across the border, and the need to secure municipal approval. Despite these challenges, Gravity Lab was able to successfully complete the project and keep the client, one of the biggest brands in the world, extremely happy.

Problem Solving: The first challenge we faced was with the material sizes, which limited the options for the design of the 3D signage and pylon. To overcome this, our team had to think creatively and come up with a design that would work within the constraints of the available materials.

In addition, the design was extremely complex and required a high level of expertise to execute. Our team had to meticulously plan and execute the fabrication process, working closely with engineers and designers to ensure that the final product met the client’s specifications.

The transportation of the signage across the border presented logistical issues. Gravity Lab had to work closely with the transportation company to ensure that the 3D signage and pylon would be delivered safely and on time. We also had to work with the municipal authorities to secure the necessary approvals for the installation.

Successes: Despite the challenges, our team was able to successfully complete the project and deliver a top-of-the-range product that met all of the client’s specifications. Our forward planning and rigging ensured that the installation process was smooth and efficient.

We also ensured that we strictly followed the corporate identity standard of Coca-Cola, so that the final product would be in line with the brand’s image.

Our team’s attention to detail and expertise in fabrication, installation and working with large-scale products allowed us to deliver a product that was truly unique and met the high standards of the client. The final result was a 9m high pylon with a unique design and 3D signage that was installed to engineering specifications.

The client was extremely happy with the final product and the process, which was a testament to the hard work and dedication of our team.

Conclusion: This project was a challenging but ultimately successful endeavor for our company, highlighting our ability to think creatively, execute complex designs, and deliver a high-quality product under tight deadlines. We are proud to have completed this project for one of the most well-known brands in the world, and look forward to working with Coca-Cola on future projects.
